Does anyone have or know the correct color code for the 62 409 valve covers
I want to powder coat mine but only want to do it once with the correct color
I know it is a unique color gray with undertones
I've seen several different colors from silver to argent gray
Thanks in Advance

Naw!@!!!
I borrowed a set of NOS 62 valve covers from Tom Jacobson. We were doing frame offs at the time and I took the valve covers to my paint store. They let me go thru all their color books and this was a perfect match!!!!!!!! Too bad it was a Furd color!!!! I think I was selling either pints or quarts before anyone else.
Disclosure.....with you spray this, you need to keep shaking your paint gun to keep the metallic in suspension. This paint has been on a lot of high end cars!!!!!
Use at your discretion!!!!!!!!!

Wayne: When you get your covers powder coated, can you see if they will tell you the source of the powder and the color/mix they use? I wanted to do my '33 roadster frame in that same color!
Thanks,
John

It’s single stage acrylic enamel. Two medium wet coats with a mist coat after each. I also added the hardener for it. Holds up very well.
