I can't help but touch this big-O-prop at the aviation museum every time I'm in there. P-51. Love seeing old wood props. That polished one looks like the one on the sleek little Swift that buzzes around these parts. Sexy little plane!
They have props, just smaller with more blades.I'd like to see one from an F4-D
Also how about an F5 prop?

You miss understood me. I changed the subject matter to my love for wood props after mentioning the P-51. I get a big kick going to air shows and walking around to the different wood props to see how they are designed. Some better than others but ever since I learned they have little holes drilled in the tips to sling sap out I have been hooked on them. By buddy has a Meyers OTW bi-plane I helped him build and he was the first to explain the holes for sap and that when stored they props must be as horizontal as possible for balance. He took first place at Oshkosh with it and that same year Patty Wagstaff stood next to it and did an interview with his plane as the back drop. (she is my favorite).
