I'm still around

I haven't posted lately because the wife talked me into selling the Class C MH then decided that she wanted a camping trailer. As as most know, buying anything used requires tweaking to one's liking. At any rate I've upgraded all the things that need upgrading/replacing. But still can't get back to the '58 Impala. Why you ask? It's because Dungeness Crab season's opening is rapidly approaching... first week in November. Got to check the crab traps, ropes and float then service the boat. Bought a new top of the line crab davit, an Electra Dyne that will be this season's first used.

Got all the the parts for the Impala so hopefully I'll get back to putting her together in December.

Thought I'd post a picture of the one outing from last seasons catch.

Crab season is from November thru to June. 10 crab limits per person holding a fishing license. 5-3/4" minimum size limit.

I last did a little (very little) crabbing here in SoCal years ago 1980ish, there was no limit back then that I knew of, most about 9-10" across the shell. Last time I took home about 60 and proceeded to boil etc. Lots of work. I only use/eat the meat from the legs. 60 Dungeness netted one small bowl of meat, never again.
I prefer restraunt King Crab.

Only 4 per person in BC. Canada. But the immigrants take anything they want, banned, prohibited, you name it. So it balances out. Plus they are coming in by the millions so stocks will dwindle soon enough. Diversity is awsome. Somehow our strength too?
Work on car and crab. Jesus man...!!!
