Cap Girdles

Back in November 2019 I PM'd LMBRJQ60, Steve, about cap girdles for my 63 Biscayne posi unit. Steve has a friend or relative that has made cap girdles for 58-64 Chevrolet rear end in NZ. I ordered a set and the came earlier this week, they look very well made, a good winter project, I am also going to do an 17 spline axle upgrade. Just trying to keep it all together.

axle upgrade... be careful where you get the side gears from ( yukon gear ) learned the hard way. if you go to the chrysler axle spline option find a good mopar guy and get the 8 3/4 side gears.

A friend upgraded to a 9" and he gave me his 17 spline upgraded axles. Nice guy.

Steve's nephew Cory makes these up. Top bloke and TOP fabricator. Quality at it's best right here.
Coming from Down Under, you won't be disappointed and will be worth the trip.

I really wish I would have known about these way back when I was assembling my car. It would have saved my P-case and a chunk of cash. Such cheap insurance.

Have 9 sets of cap girdles for the 8.2 drop out standard type differential in our 58 to 64 cars. These are the latest version that are cnc milled for ease of installation. They will come complete with instructions and photos of installation. Also have extra top arm brackets and the extra bracket from top arm to chassis.
