Very cheap to run and efficient in a well insulated building. I’m just finishing off building a new garage and will add one of these when I’m done.

Built a new small house in the spring, 1260 square ft, downsized for retirement. Super insulated. All electric with a heat pump, us$90 a month for ac etc. and the temp outside was in the 80’s and 90’s. We have very expensive electricity rates.

Garage is 1200 square ft with 6 inch walls, still finishing it inside and haven’t insulated the ceiling yet.

Based on what our power company says, a heat pump mini split uses about 25% of the electricity of electric heat. We have no natural gas service so only other option is wood or oil.
