Good Morning,
I am restoring a 1963 Impala 327 3 on the tree car originally White with Red Interior car. So the question is under the Hood and Trunk they lack of a better way to put it they glued the hood and trunk shin to the frame together at points can anyone tell what that is and where to get that glue from?? see the attached Picture.
Thanks
Chris

My 62 has the same issue with the hood. I presume it's some sort of seam sealer that over the years has let go. the hood rattles so I'll fix it with a newer seam sealer of some sort.

Might be in the Factory Service Manual section for Sheet Metal. Too bad there isn't a Fisher Body Manual for 62 but I suspect that the sealer is probably the same up through 69 and even beyond so a 66 or later Body Service Manual may show it.
On second thought it probably isn't in the Body Service Manual since the hood is not part of Fisher Body assembly.
It might be a urethane adhesive similar to the later urethane windshield setting compound.
