    Aftermarket A-C/Heater

I'm curious about these units as well. Anybody install one on a factory air car? Even after the sun goes down it's 90+ degrees. Never thought i'd consider it but I miss driving the ol girl.

    Support group for horders?

Speaking of hoarding, what are you guys doing with leftover trim? Leftover gauges? Once my car was completed I couldn't bring myself to trash anything I didn't use. Some of you guys have done multiple cars, you must be real good at throwing stuff away or have plenty of room.

Wanted 1961 62 Bel Air steering column

There was a 4 speed column posted within the last 2 weeks for $250. I just cant remember where. May have been a facebook group. I'll have to look again. I'm sure it sold quickly...

    Gas Prices

I'm in the drilling industry on the service side. It's a field that I absolutely love. Being on a rig reminds me of being at the races with the generators running and cool stuff to work on. That said, it's about over. Once the prices started to fall my customers immediately began returning all...

Dynamat / Fatmat / Sound Deadening & Heat Reduction

I did a dynamat knockoff topped with the foil looking bubble wrap stuff. I'm sure the difference would be noticeable if I didn't have the exhaust dumped out the side. As far as heat goes, I would have to believe its much better. Unfortunately I have about 20 years between the before and after...

1961 Bubbletop Interior Dome lights location

I don't recall any holes other than the screw holes for the light fixture.

1961 Bubbletop Interior Dome lights location

There should be holes right about where your head is when sitting in the drivers seat. Nothing on the posts that I know of.

    Ford 9" for 59-64 Impala

Good deal! I ended up buying through Moser for quite a bit more even with the racer discount and drum brakes. They didn't offer the 4th control arm option so i'm now trying to figure that part out right now.

    New race vette C8 R

My pops has one ordered with a build date of next month. I'm reading that buyers have been backing out. He was able to easily secure one through an out of state dealership just 2 months ago. Here in Austin the corvette club hosts an event at the F1 track. 2 years ago I was able to drive an all...

    61 impala reproduction mouldings

I have a combination of repop and original on my 61. The repop stuff is paper thin no matter the manufacturer I think. It's easily dented simply installing it. Make sure to hang onto your original clips too.

    Racing in the early days.

Really wish I could have been around for the early days. If I had the resources, I would build a nostalgia car. Maybe something to run the deal Quain Stott started. Do you guys have any attraction to the show that is an NHRA event? Even in the 80's and early 90's I had zero interest in the...

    Tilt steering column install

I'm curious how this goes for you. There are some really inexpensive floor shift columns out there right now. As I recall, many of the aftermarket columns would not allow you to use your factory steering wheel. I ended up finding an original floor shift column but a tilt would be nice. I'm...

    Car colors!

Picked my colors from a book at the paint store. It was originally a green car. When I got it in 1985 it was already red. Kinda wish I would have went back with the original color.

    PCV connection?

I don't recall where I bought it but I assumed since it just slid onto the tube it was vented. I have the Eddy intake with a homemade baffle and a PCV running to the front carb.

    PCV connection?

Mine spits oil out of the dip stick tube. I assume that could expose questionable valve cover sealing as well. This thing is impossible to keep dry. I did see another member that wrap some tape or something around the top of the dip stick in an effort to seal it as it's pushed into the tube. My...

    Happy Birthday! Austin Bubbletop

Ha. Oh come on Phil, we all know what a 61 Impala looks like. Interesting pic because this burger joint is on the UT campus and has been around since the 20's. Wayne and Roger likely spent some time there before Austin blew up into a smaller version of San Francisco, I'd imagine. Oh, and they...
