What are these? Could be just about any make.. Chev, Olds, Ford, etc.. look like behind headlight pieces maybe...

They have a rubber strip stapled to the inside(?) edge.. Am reorganizing parts by make and year into new pole building, but these parts have been sitting on fender since fall. Not sure what they are. I had a 65 Cutlass, 65 Skylark and other cars stripped and usually kept stuff separate, bought...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

Roof collapse was only 4 days after I received the Sherman floor pans for the 60, but just standing against the wall still...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

This building is a lot stronger and tighter, but 30 feet shorter so still gonna end up with cars outside so there are concrete aprons on 3 sides for the overflow cars. Presently moving motors, lawn & garden equipment and many accumulated parts out of 3 car garage and 2 car garage, as there was...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

There was a 54 Ford glasstop and a 54 4 door parts car also saved by the engine lift frame and also sold to the neighbor. Still have a tractor, a 56 Dodge 2 door sedan, a 58 Fairlane parts car and the heavily damaged 57 Fairlane in the building, but leaving those for last. Still have a 55 Dodge...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

Had pole building roof collapse at the farm from 2 foot of snow built up, so haven't touched the 60 Impala. It was in the building along with 14 other cars and 90 foot long roof collapsed in sections every day or two after first section of about 30 feet long collapsed. 40 pickup and 40 Chev...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

Got all the panels I ordered, they look good. Sherman parts from Rock Auto. Shoulder is stronger and pain-free, but so much snow here I am spending an inordinate amount of time plowing snow and never-ending kitchen renovation project. At least the house project is inside though. As determined...

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

Those are in the parts car. Somebody put some work in the car at one time, but it was kind of amateurish. Rockers, floors and trunk were surprisingly decent for a MN car though..

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

I got it with no motor or trans, though there were some rams horn type exhaust manifolds in the trunk. Wasn't sure if those were just tossed in there from a swapped-in motor somewhere along the line, or what. Grill emblem indicates originally a 6 cylinder? Would an 8 have bolted to the...

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

Good news... My $200 mouse-infested 4 door BelAir parts car purchased years ago in the event I ever got another 2 dr hdtp is looking better and better all the time.. Nice gauges, headlight trim, bumpers, steering and suspension parts and now the trunk lid trim too.. it's a good day.. Thanks for...

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

Same question regarding the center section of trim on the trunk lid.. Does a 4 door BelAir or Impala piece fit on a 2 door hardtop? Thanks, Mike

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

It's this missing piece here. I have another straight 2 door hardtop trunk lid, but it doesn't have the driver side rear stainless V shaped piece you can see missing in the photo either..

2 door hardtop 1960 Impala trunk rear trim? Fit from any other body style?

Wondering if 4 door stainless trim fits also, or only 2 door hardtop. AFAIK the trunk lid itself is a 2 dr http only item and wondering if that exclusivity extends to rear stainless on trunk lid left and right side? I am missing the left side but have both sides still on a Bel Air 4 door. Only...

    My 409 build

Kevin, See you haven't posted on this thread for awhile, but I was reading through it both for the starter info and the lowering your motor mounts. Looking at doing the same things here, but for a different reasons. I am hoping to reduce the floor tunnel modification a bit that is required to...

    Driveshaft issues with longer transmissions

Then there are these listed as for a 60-61 Impala with 348 that look nothing like the others. Is the seller wrong about what application they actually were produced for?

    Driveshaft issues with longer transmissions

Looks like I have the shorter 1 3/4" tall mount interlocked style mount already on the engine... Not sure if I got them from Show Cars, or where. Looks like there are inserts welded on the inside of each center bolt mount ear to strengthen and narrow them, but still the inside width is 2 7/8"...

    Driveshaft issues with longer transmissions

I took these pics off another thread where there was a question about whether the motor was sitting on the mounts too high. And have read other threads where there were concerns about motor mounts on a 348 sitting too low and causing interference with some steering gears and the power steering...

    Driveshaft issues with longer transmissions

What is the reason the stock driveshaft is apparently supposed to be factory out of phase on the front shaft, but on all pics of aftermarket shafts I have seen it appears the yokes are in phase on the front shaft? And all the stock, aftermarket, or updated rear shafts have the yokes in phase...

Floor and trunk pan sources 1960 Impala 2 Dr hdtp?

Christmas present for myself.. Placed an order with Rock Auto (Sherman Pans) for full floor pan and full floor section under rear seat, one of 3 trunk panels, seat support braces for front seat both sides and a new body mount kit. Freight was $149 on all the panels which seems reasonable...
