1961 impala project

Just finished a 1966 GTO. The Impala is now under way and going well thanks to advice from this forum. Have most of the parts assembled, some that came with the car, some new, and others from members here, ebay, or parted out cars. Originally white exterior, turquoise interior, auto, 283. Will retain white exterior with a few modifications; blue interior, 348 tripower, 4 speed.

Progress looks great. If you are planning on using the original air cleaner those valve covers will not work with the tall wire looms. Also I don't know if it matters to you but the balance you are using is not correct for FH.

Also your frame has 6 cylinder motor mounts. You probably are aware of this.

Very nice car and great progress. Also, if your going to mount the coil in the factory spot with an original type coil bracket, it would be easier to mount it now before the engine is in.

Coming along nicely I do believe I have one those high HP 348 balancers if you are looking for one
