My partner and I bought this 62, last July off of E-bay, it was something I had almost bought new in 62, and my partner had a 62 Impala 409 in the mid 60's that he just loved. We could have bought one all ready done, but you know yourself, its the project that is the most fun, talking and seeing friends that like cars. We had just sold our 56 chev conv. so we had some extra cash, but never thought it would be as expensive as it has turned out. I suppose I should have bought a better car to start with.....lol.
these are the pictures we have been taking along the journey. Our 409 motor is at the machine shop waiting for new pistons and a complete rebuild, its a QB 62 with 2x4's. Hope to see you at the Sept convention.
