1962 Chevrolet School bus with a 409

I love it!! I'd freakin' restore it top to bottom myself. Bus has sold and engine has a new home. (I guess it's not with the bus any longer?)

I think the truck 348 and 409 had the dipstick on the passenger side, my guess 348 ???

I'm thinking 348 the 409 tended to be for the bigger trucks like a C-80 or larger at least thats what the shop manuals say.

They didn't have fake valve covers back then.

We had a local junk yard Bucky’s here back in the 80S they also had 62 school bus with 409 in it but at the time I had my 64SS with327 and was not a fan of W engines yet but over the years I have found that most of the truck engines with the 2 Barrel adapter like in the photo were 348 and the 409S were 4 brl the one at Bucky’s was 068 block and went in to a tow truck
