I was always told energy suspension urethane engine mounts and a rubber trans mount. Let that sucker wiggle a little to save the drivetrain. Mine has been pounded on hard and works great

Well it was a semi productive week.
The new brakes are on and ready to go. I went with the Wilwood vented brakes front and rear. New Wilwood 7/8 bore master. The pedal has a great feel to it.
I built a custom low mount alternator bracket. I wasnt a fan of how far away the alternator was from the crank with the factory style brackets.
The engine now runs. Sounds good through the exhaust, it has a nice racy idle at 1200rpm.
It took a week of nights to get the paint back into presentable shape. Lots of time spent with the buffer.20141123_002019.jpg20140904_204051.jpg20150118_001647.jpg

Hi Guys. It as been a while since my last update. The Biscayne got some new interior in the spring. The only thing left to do is the front part of the rubber floor mat. I am having a hard time with how to make some kind of floor extension to cover the big shifter20150702_143728.jpg

Screenshot_2015-10-02-09-18-40~2_resized.jpg I am very proud of my son for graduating high school, it was the least i could do for him.
We did manage to get the car to the racetrack on the weekend. I was somewhat disappointed with the results. 12.23@113mph was my best time. The car made no attempt to hook at all, 2.4s 60' times where the norm. It would blow the tires off in 1st and 2nd gear. Looks like there is a bunch of work to do with the suspension. Maybe add some counterweight to the clutch so I can make it softer on the launch and not slip it in the higher gears.
