1964 full-sized production at Kansas City (Leeds) Plant

I was trying to figure out why a Janesville built Impala would have been sold new in Nebraska. I would have thought that region would have sourced inventory from the Kansas City plant. But as I investigated on this site, it appears that Kansas City was not building full-size Chevrolets in 1964. I learned from another source that the KC plant want all-out building the new A-body cars in 64. Can anybody confirm that this is all correct?

yes, that is where I discovered the possibility. I wonder if anybody can actually confirm this. Maybe I need to contact Dave Campbell. He worked there.

Didn't KC build the Corvair in Corvair's start-up years.
