I plan on doing Both. Ill let the wife have some fun and take it down the track. Just a stock 340hp car with an AT. BLA. But a very nice car. Next year hopefully Wes and I will have that 500+ hp motor done and the Stick in it. but Cant wait to do my 1st 409 show this year. Grew up 10 houses down from Bob Walla and his Region Rat 64 Impala. So ever since I was 7 years old I have wanted my own 409. well 37 now and many many cars later and Finally have one. So beyond elated to be part of this crowd. I wish Bob would be there with his car. But at least Wes will. 2 very Inspirational and wonderful people. I just need some Info as I just got all the info on this about 2 hours ago. HA!

Here is the Red Roof number: RED ROOF INN, (270) 781-6550
web site: https://www.redroof.com/property/ky/bowling-green/RRI658

Lots of motels around the Red Roof Inn.
I stayed at the Red Roof Inn 2 years ago. clean and lots of places to eat on the street, right next to the I-65 to
go to the track off exit (# 28 I think) that goes right by the Corvette Museum.

I got a room at the Red Roof Inn last week & I got it for-- Wednesday to Sunday - I did my reservation online and no problem with 4 days

Read page 3 on this event and what Russ(RCampbell) said to Dave(Royal Oak62) about registering to race but not racing and parking with all the racers every day.

No to park in the pits, you must register it to race, you just don't have to go through tech unless you decide to hit the track.Due to the insane amount of cars that come to that event only race registered cars and tow vehicles are allowed in the pit area.Even with that,it gets crowed, and that's a big place.

Some one will post info on that soon,I'm sure. i t might be a good idea for you to contact the track,it's known as Beech Bend,Ky,or contact NHRA directly.

Bryan to answer your message sent:

Yes doing well, finishing my 62 SS 409/380 HP stroker motor Richmond 5 speed convertible that is a mate in color to my Nassau Blue 62 SS Hardtop stroker motor 409 that I raced at Bowling Green 2 years ago.

My clutch was slipping at Bowling Green. Now its been replaced and lined up with new McLeod blow proof bell housing scattershield and I removed my Lakewood scattershield. The Lakewood was not lined up on the pilot bearing and it wore out my centerforce clutch -My clutch was slipping at Bowling Green after 2 runs -so no eliminations.

I guess you can put me down for now but add a ? I have two events Bowling Green and Back to the Fifties 2 weeks apart. I do have a room at the Red Roof Inn.
Paul Stensland 1962 Chevy SS Hardtop ?
