Need a little help here for the uninformed...me.
Will a 3814881 intake fit and function on a 65 400 HP block...casting number 3857656? Engine code suffix stamped on the block pad is JD.

The intake fits any block.
The heads that the intake fits properly have the #s ending in 690 or 583.
The manifold will fit other #s with modifications but won't work correctly
