I thought about flying in but the airshow would probably kill that idea. Besides, I would have to rent a car to get around and that's not very likely either with all the events.

Fair point Cecil, I hadnt thought about those two issues.
It will be great to meet you, would love to have seen your shed but that may not happen on this trip, unless you bring it with you that is

The 2014 Convention will be just like the 2004 Convention except.................it will be totally DIFFERENT!!!!!! 2004 was held in a motel parking lot and the car show at the KCI Expo Center. Everything was in a totally controlled environment. 2014 will be held at a race track for all 3 days. This is because of the success of the Blue Swede Cruise in Norwalk, Thompson, OH and the California get together. But in Great Bend we will not have the space to have us all on one place. But I'm trying real hard to make this event just as successful as the first one.

Go to Google Earth and type in Great Bend. The track is just 2 miles west of the city on the south side of the highway. Dick sent me a picture but I'd don't know how to post it!! Maybe Problem #4!!!!!!!!!!

I did that but it didn't show it very good. I tried the map as well but it just showed the roads and the point where the race track was no detailed drawing showing pits, race track, start/finish, gates, bathrooms. Just thought it would be good to get a layout so we could plan.

From your map...scroll to the left and up. West Barton County Road is the highway...G Avenue is the street into the track and B-29 Way is the drag strip!!!!! As you pull onto the property...to your left (west) is the camper parking. the runway on the south side is all pit parking for the racers. We should have plenty of room!!
