348 fan shroud

This looks like a correct 348 shroud in a 1960, right?

What's the difference between the 348 and the 409 shrouds, other than the dates of use? Mr. Phil?

the big block shrouds are about an 1 1/2 shorter, I think Cecil might have a service sheet on the differences.

I would think the visual difference between 348 and 409 shroud is the mounting brackets to the radiator, the distance to the fan should be the same.

Ok, thank you for the link. So, 348 have different mounting but are very similar otherwise to 409 shrouds,correct?

I would think the 348/409 shroud for 61 would be pretty much the same, I am happy to be corrected.
62 - 64 409 shrouds would be consistent as no 348's were offered, there are differences between (I believe) the 62/63 shrouds as against the 64 shroud.
others might chime in, but I also thought the 59-61 348 shrouds were similar.

64 shrouds are fastened to the core support with 4 bolts, 63 and previous are fastened with 6.

The shrouds are the same depth on the sides...but....since the 409 radiators are thicker...the 409 radiators have the 3 spacers welded to the side brackets.
