About two years ago I began and hot rod project with a 1931 Model A. The push to do this was visiting Speed Week at Bonneville Salt Flats several years ago. It had to be done. I started with an updated driver with original running gear, and began a 60s-era build with some modern twists. Today it’s a running, rolling chassis with a tri-power 348, clandestine A/C and 1-wire alternator, electric fan, a 700-R4, Ford 9-inch with 4.11s, 25.5 inch tall tires in front and 31.6 inchers in the rear. I’ll post photos as this moves along, but I’m off for the winter. Thought you might like to see a different type of build with a W-motor. Giddyup.

Those air cleaners will go in the trash bin soon.
The only thing I was going to say is those air cleaners need to go. But don't throw them away. Some of us just want something to cover our carbs. In your application it needs something more significant and possibly painted to match the car?
