Does anyone have pictures showing the difference between the two castings top view as well as bottom. Can you tell from the head top view?

The extra holes are directly behind the spark plug holes.
Yes Ray there are 2 ways to tell them from the top.The easiest way is to look at the spark plug holes.The threads on the "cooler" heads are much deeper.If you look just under the plug holes you can see the bulge for the coolant passages.The non cooler heads are basicly flat in that area.
Yes, the difference in shape is visible from the top.
The heads with the cooling hole castings use the long reach spark plug as well.
Thank you all. I always knew about the heads but never saw a side by side comparison. I made a miscall on another site that I will never do again, had to eat crow. Me and my big mouth.
