Pictures of my 348 heads just completed by the machine shop. Larger intake/exhaust valves were put in which is commonly done on these 59 heads...to avoid damaging the water cooling passages/cored cooling slots while maching for the older smaller valves, that were added to the heads in 1959.. around the spark plugs. Doing so was suggested by a number of 348/409 expert machinists. New studs and valves springs were also installed.
