348 rebuild/ heads completed

Pictures of my 348 heads just completed by the machine shop. Larger intake/exhaust valves were put in which is commonly done on these 59 heads...to avoid damaging the water cooling passages/cored cooling slots while maching for the older smaller valves, that were added to the heads in 1959.. around the spark plugs. Doing so was suggested by a number of 348/409 expert machinists. New studs and valves springs were also installed.

hey tom, thanks for the reply, heads are for a 348 block that has been pictured in previous posts.....the finished motor will be put back into my 1959 impala sport coupe...was that your question...? was not sure. Models 916......regarding the types of valves used , will ask the machinist to give me the exact correct information....Fred
