348 unstamped block

I have an unstamped 348 block, no the numbers have not been removed, is anybody familair with this situation.

my father just bought a 409/425 motor, unstamped from factory.

it was bought over the counter, and has never been decked

I have a 409 truck block unstamped. I was told it was an over the counter replacement. It is standard bore, so I don't see any reason why it would have been decked. I have also seen a 327 and a 427 over the counter with nothing on the stamp pad.

Yes, over the counter replacement block. I had a "5011" 348 car block ( that I took out of a 59 Canadian GMC 5 ton )... no stamp.
