I've been told that Tony Shaffer,the guy who assembled and dyno tuned this engine,will only put the hardened seats for the exhaust in the stock [1.67] size.It may be that he feels that there isn't enough meat in the heads to go bigger and expect it to live.

^^^ This. He always uses hardened seats for the exhaust side like Don mentioned. Its gets pretty tight trying to fit the 2.195 intake valves when doing that. Plus, installing a huge valve with the small ports might not make a whole lot of sense either. Tony had a lot of fun assembling my engine and was impressed at how well it made power. Pulls all the way up to 6K rpm. I have a 9" rearend under my car with 4.30 gears and I can tell you it spins up to 6K in a hurry. I scared my 2 year old daughter in it last night...whoops.
