3d printing project: Metal lathe tool post holders

Here's something I've been wanting for a long time to help keep my lathe tool holders in order and easily accessible. These fit the OXA size tool holders for small lathes. The 3d printer is the perfect tool to make these! I had considered making something like this from aluminum but it would have taken a great deal of time to achieve it, mostly to milling the angles. My printer does 4 of these in 1.5 hours. (I could print more at a time but want to keep printing time low so I can be nearby while it's running, don't like things running unattended especially those things made in China! lol)

I couldn't find anything already available to print on line so I designed these for my needs in Tinkercad. A single 8-32 screw & nut attaches them to a piece of steel angle iron. This is made to sit at the front of a small shelf so the longer tools can hang off the front.

I have a few more to make and will be creating some type of holders for the lathe chuck keys, drill chuck and live centers.

Finally! Some order to my lathe area! :p
