Yeah, that looks familiar. I done did that before the last tear down with .045" gaskets. Didn't hurt anything either. .048" now.View attachment 35497 Just don't make it too tight like this guy did.
Not on purpose, just made a small miscalculation. Only on the drivers side too. Denny ford told me, "if your close, to close, the driver side bank will hit first. He didn't say why though. I'll have to pin him down on that. Maybe someone else has thoughts on this? Rotation direction of the engine? That's runnin a pretty fine line........
Literally!I think that you hit the nail on it's head,Ray.
Don, you are looking at it from the front?I think that you hit the nail on it's head,Ray.Engine rotation direction on these engines is clockwise .
You are correct, I remembered it backwards. Or at least I said it that way.So actually the passenger side will hit first.
clockwiseWhat am I missing? Engine rotation on a W is the same as a sb or bb, counter clockwise.
One of these might be a typo.If you're standing looking in the engine compartment , it spins clockwise . If you're facing the same direction as the car , it's clockwise.
I think Honda engines spin the opposite direction
