NY 409 Chevrolet Sedan 1962 Engine for Sale $7200

Offering for sale:

verified 1962 Chevrolet 409 SEDAN engine, made in Tonawanda. This is not a truck engine. We believe this engine has very low hours. We pulled it out of a 1962 flat-bottom California Avenger ski boat and it was running at that time around 2002 - it has been in our garage since then. The oil pan has a breather tube added for marine use. The spark arresters were also added for marine use. Not sure if it went straight from the factory to the boat, but it probably did. We believe it is an original bore engine. The boat was operated on the Niagara River. It was never run in salt water. eng9.jpg eng9.jpg eng10.jpg IMG_3079.jpg IMG_3080.jpg

The carburetors are Carter. The valve covers are chrome. We do not have the water pump. We do not have the timing chain cover. We do not have the exhaust manifolds.

The harmonic balancer measures 7" as it should. The throttle linkage is present. There is a dual point distributor. The engine cylinders are fogged, full of oil, and the engine turns freely. The numbers can be seen in the pictures. The most important number on the cylinder deck is: T0424QB.

This engine is being offered for sale for $7200. We believe that is a fair price for the engine in the current market, however, we will consider reasonable offers. We have discussed this engine and the price with someone who is an expert in the field. Please be assured you are getting the real deal.

We are located between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. You are welcome to examine the engine. Please look at the pictures. More pictures on Craigslist Buffalo.

This is a cash only deal. IMG_3081.jpg
