409 dual quad fuel filter leak ?

My 63 Impala 409 has the original style glass bowl fuel filter. I do not get a comfortable feeling about it possibly leaking. Just wondering if there is a supplier that makes a fuel line that would replace the original style filter with a better type of filter. I looked at various catalogs, but have not seen anything.

I believe that Show Cars sells a Z-11 style of fuel line that uses a metal filter.I don't know if it's compateble with your return line though,call them and ask.

Z-11 will not work on 425 409.

I looked in the assembly manual. The Z11 option shows the fuel line. I do not have the return line on my car.
The carbs are original..is there a difference with carbs on a 409-425 hp and the carbs on a Z11 ? The assembly manual
states the carbs are not special for the Z11. Has anyone tried to use the Z11 fuel line to replace the glass bowl filter ?
