409 Glass fuel filter bowl

I am glad everything worked out for you and no fire occurred. NAPA saves the day yet again for many. I was leaking oil from different places, the fuel pump area was another location. Whoever handled the fuel pump during installation drilled through the gasket. The seal was no more when they gave the gasket another hole Images attached.

I was having problems which, I believe might be from the pump. After 30 minutes or so, the pump refilled the glass bowl so mechanically it wasn’t working as it should for the car. On hot days I believed it was from vapor lock from what I researched. I learned this was a common problem for older engines with today’s gas. Hopefully the pump solves the problem, I do not want to add an electrical fuel pump as I am striving to keep the car as original as possible.
