What is this hole in the rear of the manifold for?

Road draft tube originally. Most use it now for a PCV with a grommet to manifold vacuum, make sure it has an oil splash pan or it'll suck oil.

It's going in a boat with Strombergs. So no prevision for the pvc and I don't want to drill one on the manifold. I have the baffle. Could you block it off or use it a extra breather?

Theres a small freeze plug thats a perfect fit. Use some sealer on it. You’ll need to have vents in the valve covers. This is what i would do. Others here may have a better idea.
