Does anyone know the quality of these starters, as inexpensive as they are it makes me wonder.

I paid well over $300 for my mini starter. The bolts that came with it allowed it to move and screw it and the flywheel up. I purchased a starter from DB electric that was rated the same as the mini starter at almost a 10th of the price. Works great so far. Like Don said, I used stock bolts after that.

Had one of those on my 409 in the beginning, but found that under certain conditions it would not crank fast enough for my magneto to light the engine off reliably. Went to a Powermaster Ultra Speed 9450 or 9452, haven't had an issue since. Doubt I would have had an issue with standard ignition.

What’s the difference in a mini starter and the bigger factory one?
