409 tough on drive shaft

Sorry for the drive shaft, however that just means your doing something right with the motor

I did that one day on the street too 4 days later I had a one piece driveshaft. That was 1995 not a problem since

You have two possibilities .One ,your are maki ng a lot of power.Two, your drive shaft was weak.

Happened to me before and i wasn't that hard on the gas but i know the damage had been done before,the spinning driveshaft took out the fuel line that runs through the tunnel on 409 cars not a good idea to put the fuel line inside there.

Exact same thing happened to me at the starting line... make quite a mess... moved the fuel line out of the tunnel and haven’t had a parking brake since...

As good as i like the x frame cars and i have had one all my adult life and now have three of them,the engines are great and the T10s were not bad but the drive shaft, rear gear and axles all need upgrading for even mild street use.
