Car came with the top. It was textured more like a convertible top that the "normal" vinyl tops I have seen on later cars. $450 was the original purchase price!

Yep we felt pretty excited about the class trophy 12.20@ 108. Won won at the IHRA Nationals in the fall but broke a rocker and shot a pushrod through the valve cover in the staging lanes! It would break rockers. I still had the valve springs supposedly the machine shop checked and they were coil binding, and may have had some valve to block issues at .590 lift on the exhaust.

That had to be a thrill winning that trophy. That vinyl top looks good on there. You were ahead of the game. I can't remember when GM came out with those.

Made from 350 mild steel. Stronger than std mild steel but retains the ability to be welded. They are water jet cut then milled for the holes etc. Then blasted.
Bolts are Allen head cap screws for strength.
