Some things like a 3/8" fuel line and how it jumps to the passenger side inner rocker are both clues but they could have also been on a 283 with dual exhaust. This connector going down to the starter was ONLY used on 348 engines so unless someone went to all the trouble to change the entire engine harness this is one of those tell tales. This is an unmolested survivor car needs a few things like coil corrected but the car still wears its factory paint and interior. Even has the original rubber trunk mat it's brittle but all there.

I think I know why the factory used a starter harness for the 348. Ever try to hook up a non-348 harness to a 348 starter? It's tight in that area!
