Trying to find a shift extension panel for my 60 Ventura and have a question for the 59-60 guys. The front floor pans in my Ventura are flat or flush with the top of the rocker and not a sunk down well, see pics. I was wondering if the 59-60 Chevrolet was the same. Looking at Show cars extension panel for 4-speed they show one for 1960 http://www.show-cars.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=4242
and then 61-63. http://www.show-cars.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=4243
After looking at the Pontiac shift porches 61-up and then the 60-64 Chevrolet I think the 60 Chevrolet once trimmed and massaged a bit would fit closer to the original 60 Pontiac But again I need to know if the floor pans in the 59-60 front floor pans are flush with the top of the rocker and not a well? I guess what I am wondering if the 59-60 Chevrolet front floor pans would be the same or close to to 59-60 Pontiac. Last pic is the 61-Pontiac shift porch for bench seat.

Dan, I am pretty sure the 59-60 Chevs had a flat floor.

The big advertising features and benefits of the 61 were the lower ride height/and body height yet you could still wear your hat due to the sunken foot wells, this extended into the trunk, trunk opened at the bumper for ease of loading, the other feature was the elimination of the windscreen dog leg to allow ease of access to the front seats.

Grub,
Well I did a search for 1960 Impala floor pans and found that they are indeed flat http://www.classicindustries.com/product/1960/impala/parts/bfp1500.html
but also identical to Pontiac so it looks like I will give the Show cars shift porch a try for my application. http://www.show-cars.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=4242
Thanks for the input.

My floors are flat/flush with the rockers when you open the door. Cant be of any further assistance than that.

Edit, I have '59's.

The small one is supposed to be for a '60... The other one is a GM original '61-'63... Let me know if you need any better pics...
