Some pics of way to long progress on my biscayne...just installed headers after Jhot coating and other pics underside (note coil spring traction bars on my 12 bolt rear)trans linkage now installed, trunk cleaned up and painted....time to wire up and reinstall the dash....slowly coming together.

Is that Robbin's Egg Blue the factory color? I forgot what it's called on a '61 or '62 Chevrolet. I like the patina!

For some reason I was thinking it was a blue. My bad! I could be going color blind :).

Kurt Vonnegut was author of numerous classics. Slaughterhouse Five is probably his best known work. That quip was lifted from a poem in Cat's Cradle circa 1963

Don't worry about it Dean. Tom's one of those brainey ex collage professors that know so much that the rest of us!!!!!!!! But....he is a really nice guy when you get to know him!!!!!!!!!!!

So, changing my offy small port for a eddy and noticed there are no bolts over the top of the intake passages to the heads?? Is that the way it was designed? The offenhauser does have the 4 extra bolts...any comments please

wondering if anyone has a passenger side 2 dr. post, door skin for 61-62...don't know if bubble top would be the same? thanks

well,start up is coming in a couple days....6 yrs later, boy i been fast on this one...duh! Gas has been doing great in this area, finally reached 409 per gal. Will post gas again when it reaches 482/gal.LOL
Maybe you should get a 502 to keep up with the gas price!!! Lol

Biscayne came alive today!! Sounds pretty good, though not a all out drag car....looking forward to what it can do though. Still have to put the front end back together and the door i gutted to repair the crease, but i will keep working on it....could one of you do something about the gas prices please....cost me 20 bucks for a lousy 4 gallons of gas to fire up my car, LOL
