Few more things out of the way.
You'll have the body off the frame soon James. 
Most of the rust knocked off. 
I see the body mount bolts are still in place.
I haven't made it that low yet. May have to stop for a bit and finish up the welds on the floor pan that someone replaced.
Blasted a few bits today.
This thing may see color yet. 
Few parts painted.
Ready for some seam sealer, primer and paint.

Yes they are, but the body is staying on. Now some new rubber mounts would be nice.
I do still have this nasty mess to fix.
Got a few more bits painted.
Blasted the hood hinges and thought I would like to remove the springs so I could paint and detail them. This isn't a 100 point restore so the parts will be painted not plated.
Trying to figure out how to remove the hood springs I cam up with this idea.
I used a piece of 3/4 threaded rod , some 1 inch tube and some plate scraps.
Works good, wish I had made the tabs a little longer though.

We made a tool for removing the hood springs on one of Mike's 62 restorations. But I don't remember what it looks like.
That’s exactly how I did mine phil!
My engine hoist is out in the cold. 
Well that’s a bummer.
