Can you explain why you did not separate the section of old inner fender under the ledge brace on top.
That area as well as the spot that the roof pillar locates to, were still very solid and I did not want to mess around with a ton of spot welds and bracing if I replaced the entire outer wheelhouse. Just much easier butt welding in those areas. For me any way.

Still wasn’t good enough. So I cut it in half, beat on it and used my brake to make the lines straight and get everything to the correct angles. Welded it up and it fits good enough now.
