'62 Z-11

Can anyone identify the pcs on the intake and behind the aluminum water pump on Pat Loeb's '62 Z-11, aluminum frnt end, '62 bubbletop ? (some kind of drive cover, but for what ?) see picture 1 in my public album Almost looks like it's some kind of mechanical FI/throttle-body setup.

I think rarebear is talking about this picture not the prototype fuel injected block in picture 3.

If you would like to see it in person, Patt Lobb has two 62's (Z-11 Lightweight and 62 BelAir 409/409) at the Dallas Autorama as well as a chassis with a 409 and factory experimental fuel injection. I have my 62 and my father-in-laws 62 there as well.

I find it odd that this Z11 engine would have a vacuum advance unit evidently hooked up to a vacuum source in these pictures!

Ray, it was available about the same time the z11 parts were in 62.
