Does anyone know for sure the best way to remove the front and back glass trim without damaging the trim?
It doesn't look like it comes off easily with a tool like the later A body Chevelles, etc?

Need to post a correction...Borrowed my Moms high school yearbook to look at local businesses back in the day.
Chevrolet Dealership in 1963 would have been "Glen Holt Inc. Chevrolet", not Joe Belshaw Chevrolet.
Can't find exactly when the Chevy dealer changed hands? I know for sure it was Joe Belshaw chevy in 1969, but don't know when Joe bought it from Glen Holt?

Well, I finally had a chance to mess with this car for the first time since I got it back in March.
Its been up on jack stands because I had to get the brakes loosened up so it would roll.
I crawled under it this morning and removed the driveshaft that was flopping around in the tunnel when you tried to roll the car.
Got her outside to take inventory of the body, see what I HAVE to replace, and decide what can be repaired. I'm thinking about buying two reproduction fenders, rather than repairing these, but we'll see, as these days I have more time than money.
Our western and southern friends are probably looking at these pics and thinking what a rotten turd this is, and our Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, New York, PA, etc. Friends are thinking its a pretty solid starting point.
The one side view is how I want it to sit with engine, etc. Nose high, ass low stance.

No better look for a 63 sedan. Shim the back of the hood and you’re in bidness.:browRust ain’t bad at all from what I can see. Looks like ol nutsack welded up the holes for the emblems on the trunk lid too:doh:rolleyes

AND filled the hole for the lock cylinder!:bang:bang:bang just noticed that. Some people.
Drilling the emblem holes isn't a big deal, but I'm going to have to cut the lock cylinder portion from the parts car and section it into my decklid. Yes, it really sucks some of the stuff they did to this poor old car.
The other positive, they didn't break the impossible to find Chevrolet script that is above the bowtie medallion, and the plastic medallion and chrome surround is really nice too.

Well, if all goes well, I will be hauling the parts car home for the parts car tomorrow.
Wish me luck. Sitting 30 years, 4 flats, drums probably stuck, might pull it in half. She is in bad shape, but has stuff I need.
Better get the big winch.

I didn't pull it in half, but only one tire would take and hold air, all four drums were stuck HARD, it was tight against a truck next to it.
She left the back bumper behind, as well as a trailer hitch, most of the trunk floor, floorpan and rubber mat, plus assorted pieces of rear frame rail.
Bonus was there are two 63 SS consoles in it, a set of dog dish caps, a bunch of 65 Impala trim, tail lights, etc.
All the trim is present, interior garnish moldings, window cranks, arm rest bases, etc.
Glad I had my helper today or I wouldn't have made it. WHEW, I'm beat!
Got the front drums freed up, busted the driver side to pieces with a hammer to get it off, beat the pass rear half way off before the humidity and lack of dinner caught up to me. I'll go back in the morning with truck, trailer, and winch.

You got a pretty good one on the rust, not bad to fix at all. Weld in the metal you need, much easier to grind off and spot putty in. Rust let me tell you rust, I bought a '66 Bronco from the Chicago area to my home in Colorado at the time. When I hit the Colorado line 70 mph winds ripped both rusty front fenders off. Actually it looked pretty cool with no front fenders.......Oh it also had 4 floor mats per side, no floors....you don't have rust.
