My car was originally a 3-speed on the column but has had a 4-speed for many years. I am trying to get the back up lights working and have seemed to have hit a road block. I have an original 4-speed back up wire; the one from under the dash down to the back up light switch. I was thinking that I could simply plug my jumper wire in the the existing plug for the back up lights but the connector is different. The jumper wire has a plug with the wires basically stacked. The plug in under my dash is in the shape of a V. Is the wiring harness under the dash different for a 4-speed car? Is my jumper wire incorrect? Maybe both are wrong?
