Anyone know what the purpose of the shield on a 66 Impala powerglide was for? It bolts to the trans behind the oil filter and covers some of the linkage. Part metal, part rubber.
Is it a heat shield & what all years had this? I can't understand the need for it but I just listed one on ebay.
