The top photo is a race between Gas Ronda and Hayden Proffitt, at Pacific Raceway in the Seattle area. I would not be surprised if both photos were shot there. The date would be in March, 1962, just a week or so after the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona. Note that neither car has the large car numbers on the door, and prior to Proffitt having the Cone Chevrolet decals on the Chevy.
