I went to a swap meet last weekend and ran across a Rodeck aluminum BB race block in 572 ci bore configuration that was pretty beat up and had a crack in one of the main bearing webs. The crack was repairable but would probably be expensive. Being a tall deck I was wondering if it could be cut and redrilled for a W configuration. I remember some mention in another thread of Lamar making aluminum W blocks from tall decks. Anyway I passed on the deal even though he only wanted $100 for it. Now I am wondering if it wouldn't be worth that just for the main caps and aluminum , or make a coffee table out of it. Did I screw up again ?
