Another carb question, pcv related

Went to fit my pcv kit from show cars, ‘easy job’ I thought, but no, the brass fitting that screws into the center carb base is way too small. So I need a different right angle fitting, any idea what this carb base hole thread size is? Thanks

You just need a brass adapter for that, I have had to do that in the past. Just take it to the auto parts store and they should be able to help out.

That fitting looks like 1/4 pipe, the next size up would be 3/8 pipe

Either a 3/4-1/2 or a 1/2-1/4 reducer.

Thanks. I assume if I measure the outside thread diameter of my brass 90, then the ‘hole’ will be the next size up, maybe..

They make pipe bushings to get you to the next size.
This is 3/8 18 pipe to 1/4 18 pipe bushing.

Take the fitting to your local parts store and get a new fitting with the larger size on the make end. No bushing needed!!!!

Thanks all. I'd love to go to my local parts store for this Phil, but as NPT is a US thread, and i'm in the UK, unfortunately my chances are slim of that happening, its internet shopping for me. The brass fitting measures up at 17/32, which i guess must be 1/2 inch, so I guess the carb base is 3/4. I'll have a hunt for a fitting, see what I can find.

I think the fitting you have is 1/4 NPT
