Saw a article that said police had arrested 81 people for setting some of the fires. Said they may be global warming nuts. Said thousands of animals have died.

Like yourselves in the States, a lot of the cause to these fires is due to the DUMB ARSE greenies who were able to bring in to legation to STOP all controlled burn offs that were once used to PREVENT these sorts of catastrophes.
The greenies said that burn off's were killing animals and hurting the environment, well explain this then you DUMB ARSE GREENIE, why then has it now been estimated that there has now been some 5oo million species of animals lost in these fires, over 1300 homes and to date 24 lives.

Are you all happy now :mad

Anyone call this Global Warning, what a crock of SH_IT.

Gav is 100% correct.
Australia has issues with drought yet also has issues with flooding rains.
Greenies have stopped the advancement of building more dams because some minor frog or fish species might get slightly affected.

They blame man for climate change (a natural occurring event), then state man can reverse this (physical impossibility) yet won't let man change the course of a river to allow him to survive. All they are is an end of world cult.

This comes from some friends from Australia we met on a tour of Alaska a few years ago.

We are ok as it’s approximately 3 hours from us but over the last 3 days has been very smoky ( like a heavy fog).
The fires are mainly in national parks then move into private land heading to the coast which is also heavily timbered.
The problem is the government’s over the years have not burnt throughout winter and now have high fuel loads on forest floor all caused by the Green Party( 5% of electors) but have enormous power.
183 people have been arrested so far lighting the fires which I cannot understand.
We are on irrigation country and have next to no chance of been burnt out with these fires.
We live in GRIFFITH in NSW approximately 6 hours drive directly inland west of Sydney ( google us) gods country
We know people who have lost their homes in Batemans Bay approximately 200 km below Sydney along the coast and must be devastating for them.
Hope all is well with you both & thanks for thinking of us.
