I took my brother and a friend in my 4-door hardtop. 700 miles round trip. The 283 used a lot of oil but ran perfectly and was great fun to drive. We got there Friday afternoon about 3:00 and were car no. 11,266. There were probably 35 '64 full-size cars. Met a guy with a Daytona Blue '64 Impala SS, meticulously restored, dual quad 409 4-speed Canadian built car. It had a very different and plain looking trim tag. He said he comes from Canada every year. I plan to go back again in a couple of years. It's a well run, huge event with a lot of '64 and older variety (so no Mustangs, Camaros, etc) and friendly people.
