I took my brother and a friend in my 4-door hardtop. 700 miles round trip. The 283 used a lot of oil but ran perfectly and was great fun to drive. We got there Friday afternoon about 3:00 and were car no. 11,266. There were probably 35 '64 full-size cars. Met a guy with a Daytona Blue '64 Impala SS, meticulously restored, dual quad 409 4-speed Canadian built car. It had a very different and plain looking trim tag. He said he comes from Canada every year. I plan to go back again in a couple of years. It's a well run, huge event with a lot of '64 and older variety (so no Mustangs, Camaros, etc) and friendly people.

I skipped this year but went the last 2 years with my 62 Impala Hardtop 327/300 HP 4 speed
drove fairgrounds big loop both years took over a hour per loop, zero over heating with only factory 4 core radiator.
Great to drive the big loop. A good number of 61 to 64’s both years.
Going in 2020 maybe with 62 SS 409 convertible.
Over 12,000 cars both years. Great show very hard to see everything.
Always try to park late in day by the maroon Cadillac Hearse by the blue building were entrants pick up posters and mugs.
