Bellhousing numbers

Can someone tell me what casting numbers I need to look for on a bellhousing that will fit a 409 block with casting number 3844422. Thanks

It really depends more on what you are looking for and the transmission you plan to use. The bellhousing shown in the picture is the correct numbers matching one for that year but many of them will fit. The bolt pattern of all of the Chevrolet V8 engines of that era are the same.
