Found this picture on Old Drag Racers Reunion. I left a post there looking for information. I
also added the caption from the original picture to the picture itself to post it here. Does
anyone know who took this photograph? I would like to contact the photographer. Also, does
anyone have contact information for Bill Connell?

The word on the street is the car converted to a small block and sold as a street car with a steel front end. Never to be heard from again. It's thought that the front end exists and fenders were put on Don Fezell's green car.

Dick,

My brother and I bought the engine from that car in the spring 0f 1964
and installed it in a 1964 Chevelle to do some drag racing. I drove to Albany,
GA during spring break(still in high school) to pick up the engine.
Bill became owner/operator of us-19 dragway near Albany. No idea
where he is today.

The engine went into a Chevy II for 1965 and was sold after that year in favor of a B/B.
