Brass fitting in manifold/PCV question

That doesn't look factory to me.
Me either, there is a 3' long bolt that threads in to the manifold. Looks to me it was rigged because they did not have the correct parts.
Here is the correct PVC set up for a 63 409.

Dennis my still have some.
If Dennis does not have that fitting I have one. I have seen that fitting called a “volcano”.
Note that you need a exact length and size bolt and washer to install that fitting in the factory tapped and threaded connection inside the intake. I have the correct size and length bolt - the bolt will bottom out in the threaded hole if the bolt is too long.
