My first thought was Haaa. Restore that guys. Then I thought about it. And based on some of the work I have seen here by some members, I would not put it pass them.

K/S would be a 250 horse 327 with a 4 speed. The 65 would be a better car because you could use the 461 heads instead of the 520/896 castings. Today, a killer car of that combo would get into the high 11's.

I did the driving for a friend of mine last Sept at a local stk/ss event. 1965 Chevelle K/S. It is the exact combo you are referring to. 250 hp 327 with 461 heads. It went in the 11.30s. It was a fun ride.

Probably around 6800 rpm. Honestly I just pulled when I saw the light, didn't pay much attention to the tach.
