Casting Date Codes

Was sending Brad home with some big block heads and noticed the date codes are the same, now not that I paid much attention to date codes.
So is this very common to have a pair of heads with the same date code?

The date is L 23 9

Good question. Ill have to look at my other BBC heads and see if those are same dates.

Not uncommon, in fact it should be more common than it is. The problem is that the inventory system was not first in, first out......they grabbed what was closest.
